European Women's Chess Championship 2011(06-05-2011/19-05-2011)
2 out of 2, a very nice start!
Today, in the 2nd round, I won a very nice and clear game against Olga Zimina (2346) from Italy. In a French game, my opponent offered a draw after 12 moves. I declined, because I thought my knights could become very active, as was shown in the game. Already in a slightly worse position, my opponent played the careless 21.Nd4?, which ran into the very strong move 21...Qb6!, with the annoying threat of Nxc3. I think the rest of the game I played in a very nice way and on move 51 she resigned.
From tomorrow the Championship will really gets on its way, and there will already be very tough and interesting games on the top boards, including mine, with white against Georgian IM Nino Khurtsidze (2436). In the top, very interesting games will be Nadezhda Kosintseva - Ketevan Arakhamia-Grant, Kateryna Lahno - Lela Javakhishvili amongst others.
