In the 3rd round I won with white against Nino Khurtsidze (2436) from Georgia. After we reached an equal position, my opponent pushed too much with 29...Rd1+ (29...Re8, and draw would have been the logical result). After this the endgame position became very unbalanced and complicated, in which I had the better chances due to my strong e-pawn, which I converted in a quite convincing way (49...Na3 instead of 49...Nb4, would probably have been a more stubborn try to hold the position, but I think the position is lost for Black anyway.

After 3 rounds there are only 4 players left with the perfect score of 3 out of 3 (see the standings), but the tournament has only just begun. Tomorrow in round 4, I have to play against Bela Khotenashvili (2470) from Georgia, with the black pieces. You can see here the other pairings of round 4.
