The Women's World Championship was openend on Friday 3 December and was held in the Hotel Anemon.
Alexandra Kosteniuk, the reigning World Champion picked the rose with the white earring, which means that in all uneven matches the players with better rating will have white pieces. I am seeded 24th, so that means that in the first game of the first round I will have black against Tatiana Shadrina.
